There remains something about the nature of the relationship between Europe and British prime ministers, particularly of the Conservative Party, that would suggest that the latter view any decisions concerning the former with the utmost caution. Europe, and the UK relationship with it, has been a veritable “graveyard” of British Conservative prime ministers` reputations.
